Bettering Your Credit Score

May 14th, 2012

If you have a bad credit score then you are going to be struggling when you’re trying to get a loan.  Getting the loan is something that everybody needs to do from time to time in order to get the money they need for emergency or just to have the extra money to get something they really want.  Having a bad credit score does not mean that you are not going to be able to get a loan that there are several ways that you can raise your credit score without getting a loan through a bank.  Here are few tips that will help you raise your credit score and the do not cost you any more money than you’re paying all right now.

One thing that you can do is make sure that you pay your monthly bills on time.  Building up your credit is not going to be something that is going to happen overnight but paying your monthly bills will have its benefits in a year’s time.  Every bill that you miss is reported to the credit bureau and they will adjust your credit score accordingly.  Just like every bill that is paid on time the company will send it to the credit bureau and they will adjust your score according to what the company has told them.  It does not happen overnight but eventually you’ll see your credit score start going up.

Another thing that you can do to raise your credit score is to get a prepaid credit card.  People do not realize that your credit score can go up by using a prepaid credit card because it does show activity as long as you’re making deposits on the card.  Each deposit is recorded by the card manufacturer and is sent back to the credit bureaus.  The more money that you are able to deposit on this card shows the credit bureaus that you are making your monthly bills on time and can keep your finances well in hand.

Looking for financial stability is all the credit bureaus are looking for in order to reach credit score.  Anything that you can do to show financial stability in your life such as getting a credit card or pay your monthly bills on time will give you an advantage over anybody that is just sitting around doing nothing.  It is going to take a little bit of work on your part in order to raise your credit score but it can be done without spending any money whatsoever.

Living in fear of debt is no way to live your life but for many families constantly struggling to make ends meet is an everyday thing.  It is very hard for a family to make it in today’s society living off of minimum wage.  There has to be many different ways for people with bad credit to get the money they desire in order to get out of debt.  If you have a bad credit score then you have to think about ways to increase your score so that you can have a life and not worry about what is right around the corner.  The only way to go is up if you’re sitting at rock bottom with a low credit score and have a mountain of debt.  Here are some tips that can help you get out of debt and raise your credit score at same time.

If you have a job then you want to make sure that you keep your job by doing any means necessary.  There will be people that are trying to fight and get your job because they are unemployed.  Do your job show up on time and do not let fear of losing a job make you nervous when performing your job.  Always do the best you can and you’ll be recognized for the work that you’ve put in so that you can keep your job.

Another thing that you can do since you already have a job is to keep current on your monthly bills.  Paying off your monthly bills will give you the opportunity to raise your credit score without really getting a loan or paying out more money than you need to.  This may take up to a year’s time but the monthly bill companies will send your payment history to credit bureaus.  The credit bureaus will then adjust your credit score showing that you have been making current payments on time.

You can also get a prepaid credit card in order to raise your credit score.  This may sound a little bit weird but what to do is take the money from a check and deposit the funds into your credit card.  The credit card company will then monitor your activity and report to the credit bureaus.  The nice thing about having a prepaid credit card is that you do not have to worry about going into debt because you can only spend the money that you deposit on your card.
